I’m developing an acting approach to find, reveal and integrate our DEMONS (or our Shadow Selves) into the character work. The foundation of the method is the learnings of Stanislavski, the heart is the Chubbuck Technique (and other moderns techniques like Meisner and Method Acting) and the stepping stone is the legacy of the psychoanalysist Carl Jung.
In this workshop we will do exercises to meet and befriend our inner DEMONS – and work on contemporary and classical scenes from movies, TV-series and stage plays to create modern, complex and very real characters, based on our DEMONS.
The work will be both analytical, emotional, physical as well as intuitive – using your whole capacity as an actor and human being. It can be quite an overwhelming process, but more important; a deeply rewarding one. The way you see yourself and your mission as an actor will most likely be changed forever.
We begin online to set out the course, and the core of the workshop is in real life in Falkenberg, Sweden. There we journal in the mornings, dream during the nights and work on exercises and scenes in the masterclass during the days. You will discover the DEMONS that live inside you, give them names, entice them to come out and play – and make you win the scene!
The workshop is open to professional International and Swedish actors. Working language is English.
WORKING WITH THE DEMONS
DEMONS is a concept found in almost every culture around the world. It was popularized in the west by Carl Jung under the name of “The Shadow”. The DEMON is any aspect of the unconscious mind that we have rejected, denied or disowned. Plainly, it’s anything within us that we are unwilling to face – what we have shoved down as deep as possible inside of us -both the darker aspect of ourselves, as our shame, our fear, our phobias or traumas and the lighter, as our greatness, our success or our beauty. Hidden deep down inside of us, the DEMONS are, in fact, powerful sources of energy. They are closely linked to our creativity and if we connect to them they open up new dimensions, that can move us through creative blocks and make us look upon our whole artistic journey in a new light.
THE PROCESS
PREPARE
You get your scene and your scene partner. You watch the movie, tv-series or read the play script. You study the texts and exercises in the course compilation. You start the rehearsals with your scene partner.
DO THE GROUND WORK
We meet up online and you connect to the drives, the needs and the passions of your character. The journey inward begins.
GO DEEPER
Now you and your scene partner meet with me again online to get down to all the specifics of how the scene and the character is about your life – right now.
RENDEZVOUS WITH YOUR DEMONS
In real life. Three days in Falkenberg where we will deep dive to find, reveal, explore and integrate our demons in a creative process, using these rejected sides of us to win. Like the alchemical process of turning shit into gold.

Falkenberg is a beautiful little seaside town on the Swedish westcoast. A direct train from Copenhagen Airport stops at the train station (a 3 hour ride). It is a good idea to book accommodation as early as possible. A list of nearby accommodations is available on request.
TIMES
11 April– You receive a scene and a scene partner and begin your preparation work.
27 April – 10.00-15.00 ONLINE ground work.
28 April -1 May – A 45 minute session with your scene partner and Elisabet ONLINE for dreams, inner work and to dig deeper.
3-5 May – 9.00-17.00 all days, in FALKENBERG, SWEDEN.
